3D printing is not a new concept having been around since the 1980's, yet its practical application has yet to be seen past prototyping. One area we see it growing is in the creation of development site plans. Currently a hand-made process and one that involves a high level of craftsmanship, the use of 3D printing could see savings made to time and cost. The potential for 3D printed models to be used in conjunction with VR to create an augmented reality is a very real possibility, we look forward to seeing where 2017 takes us.
